Meghan Markle is reportedly refusing to accept the prediction that Brits will never welcome her back in the UK, a source has said. The Duchess of Sussex moved back to Britain in August with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, despite knowing she is not very popular in the UK.
While Meghan has not made any official public engagements yet in Britain, she has been seen out and about enjoying UK life. It is believed that the duchess is also planning to begin making official public appearances in the near future.
Speaking about the duchess’s mindset now that she is back in the UK, a source close to Meghan said she “loves taking on a challenge” and will “fight back” even if the hostility stays strong.
The source told Closer magazine: “Meghan is very competitive, she loves taking on a challenge, and she’s coming back to the UK with the mindset that she can turn things around and win people over.
“She’s heard all the predictions that she’ll never be welcomed in England again, but she’s refusing to just roll over and accept that as the truth. There was a time when all the hostility she’s facing across the pond would have taken her down, but she’s stronger than she was six years ago, and she’s insisting that she’s ready to stand up and fight back.”

Prince Harry’s real problem exposed after latest humiliation
After Prince Harry received one of his most embarrassing blows since returning to the UK, critics have weighed in on what it means for the Duke of Sussex and his future in Britain. Prince Harry attended a rugby game on Friday evening, and appeared to be happy to be there as he drank a beer and watched Leicester Tigers as they faced Gloucester at Welford Road. However, things were not all good for the avid rugby fan on Friday night as videos show the Prince getting booed by other attendees when he appeared on the big screen. The development is seen as a blow for Harry, whose public image has been a constant point of conversation over the last few years, and even more so since he and Meghan returned to the UK at the end of the summer.
While he didn’t seem too bothered by the jeers from the crowd, some of Prince Harry‘s most vocal critics have weighed in and given their thoughts on what it tells us about his public image and future in the UK. One of them is Mark Dolan, who appeared on Talk TV recently to discuss the incident.
Prince William reveals secret name he uses in public as he makes new £5k donation
The Prince of Wales revealed the name he uses in public while making a personal donation to a Royal Marine. Prince William gave £5,000 to Dave “Dinger” Bell, who is raising money for Armed Forces charity Rock2Recovery by taking part in the Dinger Cross Pacific and Indian Ocean Row. The rowing expedition was tipped to be the “longest ocean row of all time”, spanning a whopping 14,500 nautical miles in 327 days.
On Dinger’s SpotsGiving page, there is a donation of £5,000 by “William Wales” from October 5. It is accompanied by the message: “An extraordinary achievement. Huge congratulations to Dinger for completing this incredible challenge in support of a brilliant cause. Well done!”
He signed the message with his initial, “W”. The Royal Marine later thanked the heir, with a message on social media saying: “Thank you for all the donations. I’m recovering well.

Self-pitying Andrew ‘feels Prince Harry is treated more leniently than him by royals’
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor reportedly feels like Prince Harry is being treated more “leniently” than he is, a source has claimed. The former Duke of York, who had his royal titles stripped from him last year after years of public fury surrounding his friendship with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, has essentially disappeared from any public aspect of royal life. Andrew has repeatedly and vehemently denied any wrongdoing regarding his friendship with Epstein.
Since earlier this year, the former prince has lived at a small home on the Sandringham Estate.Andrew was arrested earlier this year on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He has been under investigation since he was released from custody on the same day as his arrest. Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing and the accusations against him.
While it is believed King Charles would like his brother to keep a low profile, this has not been the case. Instead, Andrew has recently put himself back in the headlines after he won a High Court battle over police raids on his two homes earlier this year.
King Charles, Queen Camilla and Prince William to make rare joint outing
King Charles, Queen Camilla and Prince William are all heading to Wales later this month to mark the 60th anniversary of the disaster at the village of Aberfan, which killed 144 people, of whom 116 were children. The royals will visit the Aberfan Memorial Garden and the Aberfan and Merthyr Vale Community Centre on October 21, before William visits a primary school to unveil the Aberfan Memorial Tree.
The trio will join survivors, bereaved parents and members of the community to pay tribute to the 144 people who lost their lives in the Aberfan disaster when a coal tip collapsed onto the village on October 21, 1966. They will begin their visit to South Wales by spending time in the Aberfan Memorial Garden, which stands on the site of former Pantglas Primary School, where 109 children and five teachers died in the collapse, just as lessons had begun.
A short prayer and a moment of silence will be held, during which the King and Prince will lay wreaths, and the Queen will place a posy in memory of those who died. They will then take a short walk from the memorial garden to Aberfan and Merthyr Vale Community Centre, meeting local residents along the route.

Sarah Ferguson ‘could do a lot more damage’ than Earl Spencer – ‘chaos’
King Charles and the Royal Family have been reportedly left “completely on the ropes” by Earl Spencer’s explosive new memoir – and insiders have warned that Sarah Ferguson could cause even more “chaos” if she releases a tell-all of her own. The former Duchess of York, 66, is reportedly viewing the fallout from Swan Song: Diana, My Sister as a powerful reminder of the power she could wield if she decided to pen her own story. Princess Diana’s brother, 62, sent shockwaves through Buckingham Palace after alleging Charles made cold remarks following Diana’s death, prompting the Palace to release a statement which said “fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory”.
However, sources reveal the surprise release has played directly into Fergie’s hands as she navigates her own fraught relationship with the Royal Family. “No one knew this book from Charles Spencer was coming until the last minute, so it’s taken Sarah by surprise, although for her it’s been a very good surprise because it’s got the King and everyone else within the Firm completely on the ropes,” an insider told Heatworld.
Princess Diana ‘drove around London to check on homeless’ and hand cash to prostitutes
Princess Diana used to escape Kensington Palace to hand out money to sex workers and check in on the homeless at the dead of night, a former royal press secretary has claimed. The Princess felt it was a duty she “had to do,” while also passing the boredom and loneliness, according to Dickie Arbiter. He worked as her and Charles’ press secretary from 1988 until Diana’s funeral in 1997, taking them through their public separation and divorce. Now aged 86, Arbiter said that Diana was “desperate to find things to do” in the evenings. While she entertained at lunch, she was often at a loss at night, and she felt lonely because her friends had to jump through security hoops to see her, he said.
Speaking to the Daily Mail’s Palace Confidential, he said: “She would try to escape, telling her protection officer: ‘I’m not going anywhere tonight. You can have the night off.’ Lo and behold, the car would come anyway and she’d drive around Paddington.
“Not just to hand money to sex workers, but to drive past and see how the homeless were coping. It was something she felt she had to do, but it was also something that she was doing out of boredom.”

Queen Elizabeth II’s Bentley with ‘handbag holder’ expected to fetch £340k at auction
Queen Elizabeth II was driven around in many fancy cars during her reign, with one of them set to go up for auction tomorrow. The late Queen, who died in 2022, was famously driven around in a handmade Bentley Mulsanne, which could reach over £340,000 at auction this week.
While an ordinary Bentley is impressive enough as it is, this Bentley up for grabs has a value unlike any other. This is because the car, sprayed in the Queen’s favourite Barnato green, was designed specifically for the comfort of Her Majesty as she was driven around.
The car, which was in royal service until 2019, was frequently pictured arriving at royal events with the late Queen in. As a security measure at the time, the vehicle even had blue flashing lights concealed behind the front grille, along with a siren and a loudspeaker. As a royal car, this Bentley also had automobile badges on the front of it and royal crests in the rails on the rear doors.

Prince Harry ‘refuses to discuss’ three Royal Family members at major event – source
Prince Harry refuses to discuss three specific members of the Royal Family, according to a source. The Duke of Sussex has been very vocal about his relationship with the Firm over the past couple of years, particularly in his memoir Spare, which was published in 2023. Now, according to a source, Harry has limits on who he is willing to speak about, as the tension between family members remains.
It comes as Harry recently was very open about his grief over the death of his mother, the late Princess Diana, as part of a grief mentoring MasterClass. The Duke sat down with Dr Mary Frances O’Connor, a heralded grief specialist, to create a MasterClass focused on ‘Building Resilience Through Loss’.
The source said: “Harry was willing to talk about Diana, grief and losing his mother. What he wasn’t willing to discuss was William, Catherine or Uncle Andrew. Those subjects were off-limits”.
Meghan Markle’s latest plan skewered as Brits reveal what they really think
Meghan Markle has received a brutal blow just days after her plan to start selling her As Ever goods in Britiain was unveiled. The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly planning to start selling some of her As Ever products in the UK now that she is living back in Britain.
This is a major change for her brand, which she launched last year, as her products have only ever been available for sale in the US. While not all of Meghan’s As Ever goods will be available to UK customers, reports claim that some of her key products will be.
According to The Sun, Meghan is reportedly looking into selling her £11 tins of tea and £50 scented candles here in Britain. Other items that could be sold to UK customers include a £15 limited edition bookmark.

Prince William praised after ‘confronting’ encounter with royal fan
Prince William has been praised after an encounter on a walkabout which a royal fan described online as “confronting”. The Prince of Wales was greeted by locals during his trip to Ilminster, Somerset, earlier this month when he was put in a potentially awkward position by one fan.
William, 44, met the woman among a crowd of well-wishers and she brandished a handbag decorated with an image of his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.
As William and his admirer take each other’s hands, the royal says: “Oh look. Oh wow. Amazing. Thank you. It’s very nice to see you.”
Opinion among royal fans on social media was divided over the handbag tribute being drawn to William’s attention. Some wrote in Instagram that the encounter was “so odd”, adding “poor William”. Another said, “Bit confronting”, according to Hello! magazine.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Nottingham plans revealed
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will undertake three engagements in Nottingham on Thursday, their office has revealed. The couple’s first visit will be to a youth and community charity in their first joint engagement since returning to the UK.
The Community Recording Studio (CRS) in St Ann’s, Nottingham, was originally set up to give young people access to music and recording facilities and now offers them a range of creative activities to take part in, alongside sport, mentoring and youth development. Harry visited there when he returned to the UK for a series of engagements last year.
During their visit, the duke and duchess are set to get a first-hand look at the organisation, which aims to help young people facing poverty, instability, exploitation or violence build confidence and develop practical skills.
They will also visit two further charitable initiatives that day. Nottingham holds fonds memories for the couple, as they made their first joint appearance there after announcing their engagement in 2017.

Prince Harry ‘concerned’ over delayed ruling after security review
Prince Harry is reportedly concerned that the recent security review measures announced by Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood could delay a decision on his own risk assessment.
The Duke of Sussex lost a legal battle against the Home Office over the security arrangements for him and his family while in the UK, after his level of protection changed when he stopped being a working royal in 2020.
On Monday, Ms Mahmood announced that security arrangements for high-profile public figures, including politicians and royals, will be reviewed urgently after the killing of Ann Widdecombe and other recent events.

Harry and Meghan need to take note – George, Charlotte and Louis just showed how it’s done
By Chris Riches
COMMENT: “Prince William and Princess Catherine’s three young children have already proven inspiring, joyous, dutiful and impressive.
“But they have also subtly shown the way to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, about how a royal’s childhood need not be black-out convoys and swathes of security teams on the primary school run.”
