Meghan Markle was humiliated live on GB News yesterday (July 5) after a major U-turn which has seen her refuse to fly out to the UK with her husband Prince Harry this week. Harry will reportedly stay at Buckingham Palace for part of his visit to attend an Invictus Games event, but he will not be accompanied by his wife or their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Anchors Stephen Dixon and Anne Diamond were live in the studio to chat with former royal butler Grant Harrold via video link. Diamond began the segment by explaining: “The Duchess of Sussex, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are not going to come to London with Prince Harry tomorrow, despite earlier suggestions that they would join him.”
Dixon echoed: “The change of plans apparently causing frustration, with sources claiming senior royals are tired of what they describe as the ‘will they, won’t they’ approach.”
As Diamond grumbled: “Yeah, I think we all are, aren’t we? It’s still unclear, apparently, whether Meghan and the children will join Harry for the rest of his visit, which is a bit later on in the week, but they are certainly not coming as so many reporters predicted.”
Ex-butler Harrold chimed in: “I think a lot of it was we were thinking this was going to be the outcome, because obviously when we heard he had lost that court case, that’s when it almost cemented the fact that it was likely he wouldn’t want to bring his family.
“I think the thing I’m really still struggling with is… with all the security issues, it’s not saying he doesn’t get the security. It’s on a case by case basis, so it’s completely possible he would get the royal protection that he wants while he’s here. It’s just not an automatic guarantee, and that’s what the fight’s about.”

Diamond mused: “You sort of get the feeling – I know we don’t know – but that she doesn’t want to come. She doesn’t see any point, really.
“The children, apparently, have very strong American accents. They don’t know they’re British, frankly. That’s that, she doesn’t want to come.”
While Harrold agreed: “I don’t think she does. Let’s be realistic, if you really cared about a family and your husband’s family, you would want to make an effort. Especially under the circumstances, you’d want to see the family members.
“It’s sad because the King hasn’t seen these grandchildren in four years. It’s unfair on him because the children have done nothing wrong in this, and they should have the right to see their grandparents.”
