Meghan Markle has just been dealt a hammer blow, and it’s all thanks to her old nemesis Piers Morgan. After Piers stormed out of the Good Morning Britain studio and quit his ITV presenting job over a “censoring” row involving the Duchess of Sussex, after he said he “didn’t believe a word” Meghan said in her infamous Oprah Winfrey interview, he went on to launch his own YouTube channel.

Though he initially started out on TalkTV, Piers later switched his Uncensored show to YouTube and began launching spin-off programmes, including The Royals Uncensored and World Cup Uncensored. Now Piers has announced a huge milestone that’s likely to leave Meghan quaking in her boots.

Piers appeared on The Karl Stefanovic Show to discuss his latest investment round, explaining he has built Uncensored into a business. He said: “It’s got 4.5million subscribers now, and generates a lot of cash from advertising and sponsorships.

“I knew I had to build a business which would actually in the end become much less reliant on me. So I decided to take Uncensored as the brand of the business.

“We’ve just done World Cup Uncensored… And that’s blown up as well. We’re doing bigger numbers than Gary Lineker’s show, which Netflix paid $14million for. We don’t pay anyone to market our content. We do it all ourselves.”

He then revealed: “The investors have valued the business $145million US.”

Piers said he has only owned the business for a year and a half, adding: “We’ve got a business worth nearly $150million in 18 months. I think the sky’s the limit for this stuff.”

The business is now worth around 100 years of his ITV salary, which was estimated at around £1.1million per year. And it’s sure to be a blow for Meghan, after the free speech row she was at the centre of ended up earning Piers a fortune, all from him not believing her.
