Prince Harry and Meghan Markle feel “optimistic” they can find a way back into royal life inside the UK, a Windsor watcher claims. Alison Boshoff, appearing in an episode of The Royalist podcast recorded on Saturday (July 18), said a source told her the Duke and Duchess of Sussex feel the US is “cooling on them” and they want to be liked in Britain now.
She said: “That’s where they’re focusing a kind of charm offensive.” Host Tom Sykes said he suspected Harry and Meghan would seek a minor royal role or official duty in the UK to secure themselves a place to live and police protection.

He added it would be a massive gamble by the King because they are so “unbelievably unpopular” in Britain. Sykes asked: “Are we witnessing the undoing of Megxit?” To which Boshoff replied: “I think it is being unpicked. Whether this actually happens, I don’t know… All I can tell you for sure is they [Harry and Meghan] want it to happen and they feel optimistic that they are on their way back in some way.”

Boshoff suggested Harry’s recent appearance on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast showed the prince making an effort to appeal to the British public again.
The Daily Mail Editor at Large said Brits will be seeing more of Harry, Meghan and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as the Sussexes seek to rebuild trust with the Royal Family.
Boshoff, citing a purported pal of the prince, said Harry realises he is not all that welcome in the US anymore.
She said a former member of Team Sussex previously told her Harry would never return to Britain and loved his life in the US, but Boshoff said his position has now “completely changed”.

Friends of the Sussexes also told Boshoff that Meghan really wants to come back to the UK and “things seem to be shifting”.
And according to the Editor at Large, King Charles’s feelings over his son’s possible return to the fold align with the Sussexes’ wishes.
Asked on The Royalist if a return was being driven by the end of Meghan’s Spotify deal and winding down of the Sussexes’ Netflix projects, Boshoff suggested the pair would be expected to support themselves if they returned.
Speculation over the Sussexes’ future comes after they were reunited with King Charles at Highgrove House, Gloucestershire, on July 10.
Charles welcomed Meghan and Harry’s children to the private royal residence during the afternoon after days of speculation as to whether the family meeting would take place.
Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, last saw their grandfather in person during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022. Queen Camilla, who has a private home near to the property, was also among the group.
The meeting has been interpreted as a sign of the thawing of the relationship between the King and Harry. The pair were purportedly estranged for some time especially after the Duke criticised his father, stepmother Camilla, his brother the Prince of Wales and his sister-in-law, Princess Catherine of Wales, in his Oprah Winfrey interview, Netflix documentary and autobiography, Spare.
His rift with William is reportedly ongoing and shows no sign of abating and the family reunion took place during the same afternoon William was playing in a charity polo match at Windsor.
