Insider reveals Princess Kate’s hidden plan for Harry ‘to return to UK without Meghan’

The Princess of Wales is reportedly urging Prince Harry to visit Britain without Meghan Markle on his next trip, hoping he can begin mending fences with Prince William .

The Duke of Sussex and the Prince of Wales have been estranged for months and, despite Harry acknowledging he loves his family and misses them, there has been no indication of reconciliation thus far.

Harry recently saw his father, King Charles, during a visit to Britain for the WellChild Awards in September, but there was no encounter with William.

Nevertheless, his sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales, is reportedly eager for Harry to reconcile with her husband, with a source suggesting she is “trying to keep a bridge open” for the prince, who now resides in California with Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

According to the insider, Kate has “tried everything to get William to soften on Harry, and Meghan as well” but “there’s just no moving with him.”, reports the Express US.

‘Her hands are tied’

Speaking to Heat World, the source revealed that as a practical measure, the mother-of-three is encouraging Harry to return to Britain alone “as proof that he’s his own man,” so that he can “start rebuilding his reputation” in his brother’s eyes. “Her hands are tied, so in the spirit of being practical, she’s urging Harry to come back without Meghan on his next trip, as proof that he’s his own man and not joined at the hip with his wife,” the source said.

“She believes it’s the only way he can start rebuilding his reputation in William’s eyes. Kate is trying to keep a bridge open for Harry before it’s too late but it does feel a little insurmountable. William’s anger and mistrust just runs so deep.”

The insider continued, “Kate wants a place for Harry, and his children, in the royal fold. She’d never be so cruel as to try and meddle in his marriage but she certainly doesn’t see the harm in him having some autonomy and being allowed to have a relationship with his homeland and his family.”

The Duke and Duchess relocated to America following their decision to step back as working royals in January 2020 and currently reside in Montecito, California, alongside their children.

Britain’s call

Whilst acknowledging his fondness for life in America, the Duke has recently revealed he yearns for particular elements of Britain – including treasured moments shared with his estranged sibling.

In a heartfelt piece written in the run-up to Remembrance Day, Harry conveyed his honour in serving his nation and emphasised how easily veterans can be forgotten “once the uniform comes off.”

Prince Harry has spoken of the honour he felt serving alongside individuals from all corners of the UK.

He implored the public to remember “not only the fallen, but the living” who bear the “weight of war,” and encouraged them to reach out to veterans, inviting them to a “join them for a cuppa…or a pint,” to listen to their stories and “remind them their service still matters.”

Harry’s anguish

In a heartfelt essay titled The Bond, The Banter, The Bravery: What it means to be British, Harry expressed his enduring love for his homeland.

He penned, “Though currently, I may live in the United States, Britain is, and always will be, the country I proudly served and fought for.

“The banter of the mess, the clubhouse, the pub, the stands – ridiculous as it sounds, these are the things that make us British. I make no apology for it. I love it.”
