The 1 reason Prince Harry should be desperate for Donald Trump to kick him out of America

There’s no love lost between President Donald Trump and prince-at-large Harry – but, bizarrely, Trump’s clear irritation with the Sussexes could do the royal a massive favour. In a recent YouGov poll of the nation’s favourite royals Catherine, Princess of Wales came top (68 percent) with William second (62 percent).

Harry and Meghan were 11th and 15th respectively. We’re not missing them. Fortunately they managed to beat Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. In 2020 we had ‘Megxit’ with an entitled moonlight flit to California as part of their doomed plan to have their cake, and eat it.

Harry and Meghan treated royal protocol and tradition as a slight, and looking for enemies and racism around every corner decided to be working royals in the USA’s celebrity-soaked west coast.

Only the late Queen didn’t see it that way and they had to step back after declaring they wanted to become financially independent.

The couple, who married in 2018, kept their Duke and Duchess titles but are no longer addressed as His or Her Royal Highness (HRH). Harry also gave up his military titles.

They moved to California in June 2020, saying they wanted space to raise Archie. Lilibet was born there in 2021.

The couple no longer have an official UK residence after being asked to vacate Frogmore Cottage, a Grade-II listed property on the Windsor estate.

Initially they were raking it in, with books and documentaries revealing private conversations and insulting relatives while the Royal Family remained wounded but stoic back home.

In their bile-inducing 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview they suggested there were concerns within the Royal Family about the skin colour of Archie.

In response the Queen darted down the wicket with a Geoff Boycott forward defensive and graciously responded that “recollections may vary”.

When I think of all the bad traits of ‘woke’ I think of that Harry and Meghan interview.

Two people with literally a fairytale life – “you shall marry a prince!” – and wedding daring to brand themselves society’s ultimate victims. It still makes me reach for the bucket.

But now two things are happening that concern the Sussexes more than anything.

Firstly some of their big money cash cow deals have dried up. Their frankly disgraceful £100 million Netflix deal has been scrapped.

Poor Meghan’s even had to return to acting, although her new part in an upcoming movie sees her playing herself in a cameo. I wonder what attracted her to play that complex character?

Worryingly for Prince Harry, his US immigration status has consistently been challenged by conservatives on the other side of the Big Pond due to his previous comments about taking drugs including cocaine and marijuana.

He was safe as houses while Democrats were in the White House but Trump’s a different kettle of fish.

Harry’s a ‘lawful resident’ but not a US citizen nor a green card holder (permanent resident). With Trump he’s on thin ice.

Who can forget Trump’s recent post State Banquet speech at Windsor Castle where he turned to King Charles to praise him for raising a “remarkable son” in Prince William – there was no mention of Harry. Ouch!

Harry’s second concern is William’s expert handling of Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, with the Epstein crisis enabling him to cast the nightmare royals out for good. They leave Royal Lodge in the New Year.

But if the Sussexes were to be forced to return to the UK over Harry’s visa, it would enable Harry to save face and resume doing what he loves.

He could return to travelling the world meeting members of the Commonwealth, veterans, Armed Forces – he would probably get his military titles back too. He might even smile again.

He could also have a public moan at Trump – winning more brownie points with the woke mob – as the President waves them off from the runway at LAX.

Harry just needs to work out how to tilt Donald Trump’s hand into doing it and he’ll get the life back he so clearly craves and desperately misses.
