British taxpayers are funding six freebies for asylum seekers, including “inclusion workshops”, according to Reform UK. Zia Yusuf, the party’s former chairman, said a survey of migrant hotels by Wakefield District Health & Care Partnership would “infuriate” readers. The asylum seekers – all men from the Middle East and East Africa – were asked what activities they’d like to take part in to meet the “specific needs of some of our more vulnerable communities”.
The six activities identified by Reform’s probe are: an “onsite health inclusion service” running several days a week at each contingency accommodation, one-stop shops to promote health and wellbeing, “Turning Point Mental Health” group sessions, Featherstone Rovers rugby sessions, behavioural psychologist reviews for mental health needs, and “digital inclusion workshops”. Now the head of the party’s efficiency unit, Mr Yusaf, claimed that some of the men were in Britain illegally and without the consent of local residents.

He said: “These are not ‘customers’, they are paid for by taxpayers, in many cases here illegally.
“The worst part is that local taxpaying residents are never consulted. In fact, they are blocked from having a voice before people are deposited in their area.
“Yet, the ‘health and wellbeing service’ which taxpayers get is in total disrepair. It’s unfairness verging on wickedness. It’s time to put British people first.”
William Yarwood, media campaign manager at the TaxPayers’ Alliance, added that the asylum seekers were being “treated like VIP ‘customers'” on locals’ money.
He told GB News: “It’s outrageous that illegal migrants in hotels are treated like VIP ‘customers’ while taxpayers struggle daily.

“Locals haven’t been asked, and yet they’re forced to pick up the bill for whatever perks and wellbeing services will be provided. Britons have had enough of coughing up for services and luxuries for people who shouldn’t be here in the first place.”
This comes after Reform leader Nigel Farage fumed at Sir Keir Starmer after he threatened a visa crackdown to help tackle the “deteriorating” situation regarding Channel migration.
The Prime Minister signalled that countries which did not do enough to tackle the small boats crisis could face repercussions in the numbers of visas issued to their citizens.
The Clacton MP hit back: “What the hell is the Prime Minister going on about? We’re talking about illegal immigration and he wants to give them visas.
“He just said we’ve got to look at visas which means what he’s really saying is we’ll open up legal routes to Eritrea, we’ll open up legal routes to Afghanistan. This man hasn’t got a clue, he literally hasn’t got a clue.”
