Armed police were called outside an Asda store in Derby following reports of a woman being stabbed. Officers swarmed the area at around 8.35pm on Wednesday, after the victim, a woman in her 40s, suffered injuries to her arm and hand.
The woman was then rushed to the hospital for further treatment for her injuries, where she remains today. Armed officers continued to search around the Asda in Sinfin, Derbyshire, for the suspect, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

Derbyshire Police are continuing to search for the suspect, who is believed to be a woman also in her 40s. The suspect is believed to be known to the victim.
Officers have launched an appeal as they are keen to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident.
They are particularly keen for dashcam footage of anyone who drove past the store in Arleston Lane before or after the incident.
